Olympic Briefing: Freestyle

Paying Attention: Freestyle skiing is a multi-disciplinary sport that includes moguls, aerials, ski cross, half-pipe, and slope style skiing (and insurance form processing). It is extremely demanding technically and can be very treacherous physically for competitors. This wiki has complete background information on the sport as staged at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Competitions are staged for both men and women–it’s another Olympic equal opportunity sport. Each element of the sport is visually spectacular and will be terrific to watch–especially with today’s amazing high definition television cameras. Check out the  Official FIS video on freestyle skiing, 2014 at YouTube to get another view of what the Olympics will be featuring.
