The Baryshnikov of the Baseline

Nightshift Sports:
Roger Federer is working his way toward his 8th Wimbledon Singles title. His longevity and continued excellence in one of the most demanding sports in the world is amazing, but perhaps even more breathtaking is the grace with which he plays–especially at Wimbledon. Federer moves easily, efficiently, and athletically all over the court, but makes it all appear effortless. He plays well within himself (granted….it’s a pretty deep well of talent) and trains so intelligently and so specifically for his sport that he does not incur the type of physical ailments and injuries that befall other players of his generation. Below, a photographic appreciation of one of the best of all-time. Roger Federer, on the stage he has made his own, Wimbledon.
