It’s almost over: the biggest fortnight in tennis, the Championships Wimbledon. Earlier today the Women’s Singles Championship was decided, when Garbine Muguruza took out Venus Williams rather improbable run for another Wimbledon title, 7-5, 6-0. Muguruza lost two years ago in the Wimbledon final to Serena Williams, so this was a very sweet win and, perhaps, it signaled a serious changing of the guard in women’s tennis, as a new group of young players take their place at the front of the sport.
