Good Morning, it’s Sunday, 1 October 2017 and this is the Morning Edition of The Nightshift, the world’s overnight news feed.
The tweet war between the White House and Puerto Rico continues, but there is hope that everyone will be distracted by today’s flag/national anthem demonstrations in the NFL.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has acknowledged that there is “direct communication” between the U.S. and North Korea. It would be good if that on-going dispute would “normalize” and remove some of the animosity from the situation.
The U.S. Team leads the International Team 14.5 to 3.5 in the President’s Cup. It takes 15.5 points to win the cup. There are 12 singles matches planned for today–the last day of competition. It would not be an understatement to say that the International Team will need a miracle to win the cup.
