Jim Crane is the owner of t he Houston Astros, winners of the 2017 World Series and the answer is yes. Not even close.
Here’s why: When his Houston Astros won the 2017 baseball world series, Crane not only gave championship rings to team members, but also to everyone of the 900 people who work in the Astros organization–the ticket sellers and takers, the ushers, the retailers. Here’s the full story.
So, besides being a very good owner, Crane is that increasing rare thing in sports and business: a really good man who cares about the people who helped him get to the top.
Crane is precisely what sports needs more of these days: sportsmen–athletes and owners–who have a deep sense of sportsmanship inside them.
