The Sebring Film Festival: The 1950s

Preview and Part 1:  From now until the start of the 2016 Twelve Hours of Sebring, we will be previewing The 12 with a series of films and videos that cover the history of the most famous endurance race in North America. Please note that to a generation used to HDTV and 70mm film, some of the videos presented will have a distinctly “vintage” look, i.e., grainy, out-of-focus, over-exposed, etc. No big deal. History is always messy, even when it’s perfectly recorded with state of the art equipment. Just enjoy a look back while looking forward to this year’s race.
So, let the shows begin. First up: Sebring Through The Decades: The 1950s, footage and video provided by ALMS.
