The Cubs did it–winning Game 6 of the World Series last night by 9-3 to force a Game 7 against Cleveland tonight (the game will be played in Cleveland, of course..the series is based on a 2-3-2 home rotation). There have only been 37 Game 7s in World Series history, so tonight, history will be made, for both teams just by participating in a Game 7, and for one team, the long drought between World Series Championships will finally end (108 years for the Cubs, 68 for the Indians). To say that this particular series was a long time in the making is an understatement; to say that America needs this game as relief from the contentious, ill-mannered national election campaign that has dampened so many spirits, is an even bigger understatement. So–click through the links below to catch up on world news and then enjoy the day’s build up to Game 7 of the World Series tonight (it’s on Fox and starts a 7PM, CDT, adjust for your time zone). The whole world is watching–we expect a classic.
