The Russian military has said that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in a Russian airstrike in Syria. The killing has not been confirmed (yet) by the United States.
The Louisiana Congressman shot on Wednesday at a charity baseball practice, Steve Scalise, has had three operations so far and is facing more. He remains in critical condition. Two others at the practice, Zack Barth and Matt Mika remain hospitalized with wounds from the shooting.
The investigations into alleged collusion with the Russians over hacking has expanded into financial matters, as special prosecutors and investigators are now investigating the finances of Trump associates, including, notably, Jared Kushner.
The death toll in the residential tower fire in London has reached 30 people and is climbing.
It was announced today that Amazon is going to buy the mega-grocery retailer Whole Foods, in a transaction valued at over $13 billion.
