Round two of the PGA Championship was suspended, first due to weather, then due to darkness. But it didn’t slow down the rush to the head of the pack at Quail Hollow.
There was movement at the top of the leaderboard: Kevin Kisner, and Hideki Matsuyama are the leaders at 8 under. Matsuyama was 7 under for the day. Jason Day closed in on the leaders and is now at six under.
Jordan Spieth, looking to complete a golf grand slam with a win at the PGA finished the day three over par. At least he made the cut. Phil Mickelson did not–the first time since 1995–nor did Sergio Garcia. A tough day on a tough course and it took some big and popular names out of the tournament.
