It’s three rounds down and one to go at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow.
Sitting at the top of the leaderboard, as he has been for the first three founds, is Kevin Kisner, at 7 under par.
In second, Hideki Matsuyama and Chris Stround (who got into the tournament by winning the tournament prior to the pGA) at 6 under par. Jason Day, who was contending for the lead–or at least within striking distance–blew up his chances with a series of disastrous decisions and shots on the 18th hole and dropped all the way back to 16th position where he’s even for the tournament. Luis Oosthuizen and Justin Thomas are both in contention at 5 under par.
Missing from the top of leaderboard:pre-tournament favorites Rory McIlroy (T-47) and Jordan Spieth (T37). Quail Hollow has turned out to be a surprising tough track for the pros.
