The most powerful man at NBC news has been terminated. Matt Lauer, anchor of NBC’s highly popular and massively profitable “Today” show was let go today as a result of credible sexual harassment allegations. The broadcast community–and especially the people who work on the “Today “show and inside NBC news–is in shock this morning. ABC, which has been battling NBC for the top spot in morning ratings, is no doubt going through a rather intense period of schadenfreude today.
North Korea has launched yet another ballistic missile, this one said to have the capability of reaching deep into America, with the ability to target not just the west coast but Washington, D.C. and the East Coast as well. The tension rams up on the Korean peninsula once again.
The Republicans have managed to ease the Trump sponsored tax reform bill out of a Senate committee. One Senator admitted, on camera, that “we won’t really know what’s in the bill we’re voting for until it’s passed”. Really? Is possible for some people with a sense of responsibility to serve this country.
Today is National Package Protection Day. Keep your eyes open and stop “porch pirates” from stealing the package deliveries from your front porch or those of your neighbors–especially at this time of the year, when so many items will be delivered.
