Good Morning, it’s Thursday, 1 March 2018,  and this is the Morning Edition of The Nightshift.

Hope Hicks, the Communications Director for the Trump White House has unexpectedly resigned just 24 hours after she was interviewed by the House Intelligence Committee. Hicks had been one of President Trump’s closest and most trusted confidants and advisors and had developed a reputation as someone who could “translate Trump”. Is the Hicks resignation simply a coincidence–she had said she might be leaving at some point in the future. There are no coincidences in the current White House.
