Maybe you’ve noticed, but a lot of the things happening the world of comedy are not funny anymore. Roseanne’s show gets cancelled after a terrific Year 1. Comedic icon Bill Cosby goes to prison for sexual abuse. Louis C.K. is pushed off the stage by a series of egregious sexual acts.
Time for some distance and perspective on it all and who better to provide it than Jerry Seinfeld, one of comedy, standup, and television’s great stars. This Interview with Seinfeld conducted by Dave Itzkoff, was originally published in the New York Times. It’s very worthy of your time and attention.
