Good Morning, it’s Sunday, 25 June 2017 and this is the Morning Edition of The Nightshift, the world’s overnight news feed.
The London apartment tower fire that killed at least 79 people (the toll continues to rise) was so deadly in part because of flammable cladding material used on the exterior of the building.
The Republicans are counting votes and twisting arms to gather enough support to pass their highly revised version of Trumpcare. So far, it looks like an uphill battle as some Senators are very concerned that they and other Republicans will get wiped out in the 2018 elections when their constituencies sort out precisely what has been taken away from them.
A landslide in southwestern China has totally wiped out a village. Chinese authorities are looking for survivors.
In sports, LSU plays Florida in the finals of the NCAA baseball championship, as once again SEC teams dominate another sport. In golf, Jordan Spieth is the leader going into the final round of the Travelers Championship. Finally,  Oracle Team USA won a race against Emirates Team New Zealand in America’s cup racing yesterday. New Zealand leads the first-to-seven series by 4-1. The teams will race again today.
