Good Morning, it’s Friday, 24 November 2017 and this is the Morning Edition of The Nightshift.
Former national security advisor Michael Flynn, under investigation by Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III for possible involvement in the Russian meddling/hacking of the 2016 Presidential election, may be moving closer to being a cooperating witness/source. This possibility comes as a result of the fact that Flynn’s attorneys are no longer sharing information with the Trump administration’s lawyers. If Mueller has “turned” Flynn, expect even more stress at the White House.
An Argentine submarine with 44 men on board has disappeared. There were reports of an explosion in the last reported location of the submarine, but the vessel has not yet been located and hope of finding survivors is decreasing by the hour.
President Donald Trump is at Mar-A-Lago for the Thanksgiving holiday. The White House claims it’s a working trip; the President has a round of golf scheduled for this morning.
Ole Miss upset No. 14 Mississippi State last night, by the score of 31-28. There is serious bad blood between the Rebels and Mississippi State (who it is alleged “turned in” the Ole Miss football program for a series of violations) and the Rebels played like it, beating State in every facet of the game. There is speculation that Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen will leave for another head coaching job at the end of the season. In other football games, Dallas lost again, this time to the Chargers, 28-6; the Vikings beat the Lions 30-23, and the Giants lost to the Redskins 20-10(expect Giants head coach Ben McAdoo to be fired at the end of the season).
Today is National You’re WelcomeGiving Day. It’s also Black Friday. Remember your manners when you’re tracking down the deals.
Also, we added the CNN “text news” site, which is much faster than their full multi-media site. It’s also below at the end of the links.
