The proposed tax reform bill is banging around the halls of congress and the longer it stays there, the more scrutiny the bill is gathering. Seems that it massively favors the rich at the expense of the not-so-rich and the poor. Anyone surprised by that?
There is deep worry in the administration that special counsel Robert Mueller and his team investigating possible Russian collusion/hacking in the 2016 Presidential election have managed to “flip” General Michael Flynn, former National Security Advisor for Trump. Although Flynn had the shortest term of any NSA, he was with the Trump campaign throughout the election cycle. Drip, drip, drip.
The Daily Grope: Representative John Conyers (D-Michigan) has been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct. Conyers , until yesterday, the top Democrat on the House Judicial Committee, is 88. Maybe, certainly, it’s better for Conyers to step aside than go through a full House ethics committee hearing. Really–it’s time for him to leave anyway. The founding fathers wanted representatives to come to Washington, serve their country, and then go home. They did not intend for our political representatives to make it a career instead of a short-term national service.

A video of Wayne Cochran performing is featured in today’s post (you know the drill…click the play button). Cochran was a performing legend, known for his big hair and athletic dance moves. His unique spirit will be missed.
Today is National French Toast Day. Be sure to use non-diluted maple syrup.
