Good Morning. It’s Thursday, 2 February 2017 and this is the mid-day edition of The Nightshift.
It’s Groundhog Day and Punxsutawney Phil–THE Groundhog weather forecaster, saw his shadow and predicted 6 more weeks of winter. Which is to be expected based on the start of the year so far. Get a sweater and button up.
The world goes on.

The Nightshift: 1 February 2017

Press Clippings:

Good Morning. It’s Wednesday, 1  February 2017 and this is the morning edition of The Nightshift.
The first month of the year is in the history books and it was a doozy.
But..we have the Super Bowl to look forward to this weekend, along with the Super Bowl half-time show (with Lady Gaga) and the justifiably famous Super Bowl commercials.
Oh, and the helicopter skiing image above? Just a subtle reminder that our Fourth Annual Winter Film Festival is coming this month. Another wonderful diversion for the season.
The world goes on.
Be prepared.

The Nightshift: 31 January 2017

Press Clippings:

Good Morning. It’s Tuesday, 31 January 2017 and time for the morning edition of The Nightshift.
Super Bowl Media Day was conducted on Monday and the event has become so big now (some in office might call it “huge”) that it was held in Houston’s Minute Maid baseball stadium, the playing home of the Houston Astros Major League Team. The public was invited as long as they were willing to pay the $20 to $30 per ticket entry fee.
Will the Super Bowl–and the Super Bowl commercials–prove to be just the distraction that America needs at this point in time?
Only the week’s events will tell.
Even the Boy Scouts are changing–whether or not they needed to change is a matter for debate. As a traditionalist in regards to the Scouts (I am a former Scout leader), I will recuse myself from the debate. But what would Baden-Powell think?
There’s always plenty of drama and change in the new America.
Be prepared.

Roger Federer won the Australian Open, in a classic match with long-time foe Raphael Nadal. It was Federer’s 18th victory in a Major.
It’s the start of Super Bowl week in America. Will politics drown out the biggest sporting event of the year?
Only the week’s events will tell. There’s always plenty of drama in the new America.

Good Morning. It’s Saturday, 28 January 2017 and time for the morning edition of The Nightshift.
It’s the weekend before the Super Bowl; the finals weekend for the Australian Open; the  start of the running of the annual 24 Hours at Daytona endurance race (Good luck to our friends at Risi Competizione and their No. 62 Ferrari 488GTC); the final weekend of the X Games in Aspen;  and the end of Trump’s first full week in office.
