The Thanksgiving holiday is winding down. On Monday, Washington will again take up the topic of tax reform. The new bill is great for corporations and not so great for everyone else. Expect a huge fight and a lot of pressure to get it passed.
Rance Howard, the film director perhaps most famous for being the father of actor/director Ron Howard has died at age 89.
Saturday was a big day in college football. No. 1 Alabama was upset by Auburn; Notre Dame lost to Southern Cal; Georgia beat Georgia Tech, and Clemson beat South Carolina in a day marked by long-standing cross state rivalries. The Alabama upset, which was preceded by the upset of Miami earlier in the week, has the potential to really scramble the national college football playoffs. Also: Chip Kelly, who was a success as a college coach at Oregon and a bust as a pro coach in the NFL, will be the new head football coach at UCLA. Arkansas fired Coach Bielama and Nebraska fired head coach Mike Riley. Florida also fired its head coach earlier in the season as did Ole Miss.
