Press Clippings:
Good Morning, it’s Monday, 9 January 2017. The first day of the second week of the year.
It was, in short, a terrific weekend, with NFL Wildcard Playoff Games, the NC State v UNC Basketball game (Carolina won by over 50 points in a game delayed due to snowy and icy conditions in North Carolina) and the Golden Globes movie/TV awards from Hollywood (Here’s a list of the Golden Globes winners).
Confirmation hearings start today in Washington for the incoming Trump administration and tonight is the National Championship Football Game that pits Clemson against Alabama in a repeat of last year’s contest (which ‘Bama won, 45-40 in a classic). Don’t miss this one…it could be terrific.
There’s a lot going on in America today, but you always need to check out what’s happening around the world by linking to the front pages of the globe’s greatest newspapers. It’s all at your fingertips.
May the Happy Holiday spirit continue….at least until tomorrow.

The Age of BS
Paying Attention:
Maybe you’ve noticed that the age of BS is upon us. Coming at us from all directions. The Media. The government. Business. Gurus and friends and enemies. Everyone is getting full of it and the spin is so intense it’s even making the spinners dizzy.
This unprecedented level of BSdom has not gone unnoticed. It’s even been studied.
As a public service, we present a pretty terrific post from Aeon.com , which will explain the predicament we all find ourselves in, on an almost daily basis. Separating truth from non-truth/BS has never been more time consuming.
Wade in and learn the full dimensions of a cultural trend we really, really, didn’t need.
